Subtly sweet, nutrient-dense, and incredibly easy — these Flax & Honey Biscuits are proof that eating for your health doesn’t mean giving up comfort food. Each bite is packed with healthy fats, fiber, and protein to help balance blood sugar, curb cravings, and keep you feeling satisfied.

Perfect for a quick snack, paired with nut butter for extra staying power, or as a wholesome addition to your breakfast.

Food as Medicine, Made Simple

At Bloomed Wellness, I believe food should be more than fuel — it should be medicine. Recipes like these biscuits fall under what we call culinary medicine (or sometimes, nutraceuticals) — the practice of using real, delicious food to support your body on a cellular level.

Here’s what makes these biscuits special:

  • Blood Sugar Balance: Almond flour and flax provide fiber and protein to prevent energy crashes.

  • Hormone Support: Healthy fats from almonds and flax seed help build hormone precursors.

  • Digestive Health: Flax meal is rich in soluble fiber to nourish gut bacteria.

  • Simple & Nourishing: With only 5 ingredients, they’re quick to prep and easy to love.

This is the kind of recipe I share with my 1:1 coaching clients — food that feels like a treat but works hard for your health.

Recipe: Flax & Honey Biscuits

Makes: 2 biscuits

Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons flax meal

  • 1 teaspoon mineral-rich salt

  • 2 teaspoons raw honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and honey until smooth.

  3. Add almond flour, flax meal, and salt. Stir until a thick batter forms.

  4. Divide the mixture into 2 portions and shape into biscuit rounds on the baking tray.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes, or until set and lightly golden on top.

  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
